New Currency: Contemplating the Value of Self

Currency - Spectre of the Brocken - Ran Kime

In the mirror of self-admiration,

she acknowledges my handsomeness.

The desire in her eyes whimper.

Longing echoes, synchronized with the times.

The scarcity of invitations.

The lack of back rubs is also noteworthy.

The jarring intrusion of the alarm clock

 disrupts her restless slumber.

Wake up!‘

Grappling with a nagging question:

“How does one rid oneself of this incessant drag?”

Could it be as simple as selling a house?

Bartering away responsibilities,

or perhaps auctioning off fragments of memory?

The mind swirls with possibilities.

In the sphere where data reigns supreme,

she contemplates a daring move.

‘Data is the new currency,’ she ponders.

And in an act of surrender,

she offers her mind as the ultimate transaction.
