Why Try: The Absurdity of Bureaucratic Indifference

why try - spectre of the brocken - halo for the observer - taxes tightens

When the relentless grip of taxes tightens its hold,

an involuntary clenching of the asshole ensues.

Anxiety,

like cold sweats,

permeates the air.

While politicians chuckle behind the gavel,

merrily departing on taxpayer funded vacations.

Letters penned to the state,

floating in the bureaucratic abyss,

elicit no response.

The question wafts;

why bother attempting to breach the wall of indifference?
